In the world of network marketing, consistency isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the backbone of success. Yet, it’s also one of the most common hurdles that many face. Oftentimes people are “all-in” then “all-out” instead of consistently doing things to progress forward.
But hey, I'm here to help you turn that all around.
Let’s dive into why network marketers struggle with consistency and how you can overcome these challenges to feel confident and in control of your business.
1. Setting Clear and Achievable Goals
Without clear goals, it’s like embarking on a voyage without a map. Network marketers often know they want success, but without defining what it looks like, the path is hazy. And this can make you feel aimless and frustrated, right?
First think about what you want and why you want it.
What’s the end goal you want to happen?
Example: Maybe you want to sell $300 more every month to pay for your son’s hockey expenses, braces, or to go shopping and not have to hide the bags 🛍️ from hubs!
So now you know the what and the why, now it’s time for the how. This is the part most people don’t map out and it’s why you often feel stuck.
This is no longer going to be you! Yay!
Now let’s create a SMART goal.
A SMART Goal is: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
This gives you a roadmap to follow.
By breaking down your large goals into smaller, actionable steps you make them more manageable and it gives you a plan to follow, remember the map. Here’s your map.
Now let me say this, I am usually not one to make income goals, I much prefer activity goals because you can never control when someone is going to buy from you, reorder, join your team, etc. But you can ALWAYS control your activity!
That being said, let's create your SMART Goal: I want to sell $300 more next month to pay for Johnny’s hockey expenses.
(Now in case you didn’t know this, the industry statistics are as follows: For every 14 people you show your product to, 3 will take a look and 1 will buy.)
So say your product is $100 for easy math. You will need to talk to 42 people to get 3 sales, make sense?
Oh and if you divide 42 people by 30 days in a month that’s 1.4 people a day, totally doable right!
Now you have a goal 🙌!
Is it Specific- yep!
Is it Attainable- yep!
Is it Relevant- yep!
Is it Time-bound-yep!
2. Overcoming Overwhelm
I get it with so many strategies, platforms, and tools, it's easy for you to feel overwhelmed and confused. And when you are confused you do nothing because you are second guessing everything! #BeenThere
Prioritize your actions based on your SMART goals.
Focus on one or two strategies that align with your objectives.
Seriously, no more!
Then time-block to allocate specific periods for specific tasks.
If you are not sure what those tasks are or how to execute them, ask your upline or pay for mentorship.
3. Crafting an Actionable Plan
An idea without a plan is just a wish. Many network marketers have great intentions but lack the structured plan to execute them.
Take your SMART Goal and map out your action steps to get there.
From the example above, you will need to ask 2 people a day to look at your product to get the 3 sales you need to make the extra $300/month in your goal.
Adjust your plans regularly to reflect what’s working and what’s not.
4. Mastering Time Management
Balancing your business with your personal life can leave you feeling like there aren’t enough hours in the day, yes or yes!
Let me guess you started your Side Hustle to make more money and have more time freedom in your life right?
But are you finding yourself working your business all the time with little results and feeling guilty and burnt out?
Becoming a master of your time will literally change everything!
This is not talked about enough in my opinion but is the key to making EVERYTHING in your life fit in and work.

Pick a planner (please don’t overthink this, just pick something!)
Schedule your tasks (Refer back to your SMART Goals)-both business and personal
Set aside dedicated business hours and stick to them to establish a routine.

And last but not least, please be patient! In our fast-paced world, we crave instant gratification, but network marketing success doesn’t happen overnight.
I see so many people hopping from shiny object to shiny object and getting zero results.
Implement this or any strategy for at least 90 days before throwing in the towel.
I promise you the grass is not greener.
I know you want to results right now, but perseverance is what sets successful network marketers apart.
Celebrate small wins like creating new habits, not just the end results.
Celebrate your activity goals not the income goals.
And keep a progress journal to visually track how far you’ve come.
