Alright, let's dive into a topic that comes up so often: struggling with consistency in your business.🤔
How many of you find it difficult to stay consistent? 🙋♂️🙋♀️ This was me for the longest time. One of the most common questions I get is, "I really struggle with consistency. Can you help me? What are some tips?" So today, I'm here to share some strategies to help you stay consistent.
You've probably heard this before: to build your business and get results, you need to master the mundane.
It’s all about doing the same things over and over again to grow and scale. Often, people prioritize the wrong activities, like focusing more on posting on social media than reaching out to people directly.
Does this sound familiar?
Posting is great for maintaining digital eye contact, but reaching out directly is crucial!
Let's dive into a few reasons why people struggle with consistency and how to overcome these challenges.
Many people feel overwhelmed.
There are so many gurus and strategies out there that it can be confusing to know what to do. You might try one thing, then switch to another based on someone else's advice. This can lead to not sticking with a strategy long enough for it to work.
The truth is, many strategies work – running ads, Facebook groups, messaging people, home parties – you just need to find what works for you and stick with it.
Simplify and systemize a few things, then scale them.
Stay in your lane and focus. 🎯
If you feel overwhelmed, it might be because you're following too many different people and switching tactics too often.
Alternatively, you might not know what to do for your business and feel stuck. In either case, the solution is to simplify.
Pick One Thing: Give yourself permission to not be on every platform and not do all the things. Pick one strategy, hone in on it, and make it work for you. Once you see it's working, scale it. 📈
Seek Guidance: If you don't know what to do, get coaching or mentorship. Talk to your upline, hire a coach, or find a mentor. Every successful person has someone guiding them. 👩🏼🏫
To maintain consistency, you need clear goals.
You need to know what you're reaching for and how to get there. Here’s how to set effective goals and incorporate them into your daily routine.
Set SMART Goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound.
For example, “I want to sell $300 more next month to pay for my son’s hockey expenses.” 🏒
Break Down Your Goals: Determine how much you need to sell and how many people you need to talk to achieve that.
The industry standard is 14 reach-outs to get 3 looks, resulting in 1 sale. 🔢
Time Block Your Tasks: Schedule specific times for specific tasks.
For example, if you need to talk to 42 people in a month, that’s about 1.4 people per day. Allocate time each day for this activity. 🕒
Consistency is like a muscle – you have to exercise it regularly.
By breaking your goals down into manageable steps and time-blocking them, you create a routine. This routine helps you build the habit of consistent action. 💪
Set Clear Goals: Know what you want to achieve and why.
Break It Down: Divide your goal into daily actionable steps.
Time Block: Allocate specific times for these tasks in your schedule.
Stay Focused: Avoid the shiny object syndrome. Stick with one strategy until you see results.
Get Support: Seek guidance from mentors or coaches if needed.
Consistency is challenging but not insurmountable.
By breaking your goals down into manageable steps and time-blocking them, you create a routine. This routine helps you build the habit of consistent action.
